I knew I wanted to be an artist in first grade after I won a blue ribbon for a drawing of two frogs lounging on a lily pad. I continued to work on my art in my spare time but life had other plans for my vocational pursuits, taking me into advertising and marketing where I created campaigns for clients like Apple, PepsI, Pfizer and many others. 

Although I had often held a camera while assisting my professional photographer mother as a kid, I didn’t start to consider photography as an art form I'd like to pursue until a trip to Alaska as an adult. The arresting wildlife and scenery viewed through the lens of my camera opened my mind to photography as something greater than a hobby. 

Since then, I have traveled across the country and internationally to capture images that are a "little wild at heart".

On roadtrips I am accompanied by my goofy but lovable Australian Shepherd, who, despite his enthusiasm to be a great co-pilot, occasionally struggles with operating the navigational apps.
